66. Joseph McClanahan "Joe" CORNETT Jr.^37,51,54 was born on 31 March 1914.^37,51,54 He was educated in 1931 at Waco High School in Waco, McLennan County, Texas. According to the Waco High School yearbook, "The Daisy Chain" for 1931, Joe was Secretary of the Rostra Literary Club (p.96), a leader in the City School Government (p.94), and Sergeant-at-Arms of the Hi-Y Club (p.89). His mother Louie was President of the Waco High School PTA (p.82). He received a Baylor Medical School, with high honors degree in June 1938 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.⁶⁰ (Baylor Medical School, with high honors) Joe died on 13 January 1939 at the age of 24 in Temple, Bell County, Texas.^51,54,60,61 He was buried in 1939 at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, McLennan County, Texas.^51,54
